Blue Line

one slight fissure

one blue line in ice

you hear it snap if

you are close enough

single cube

frozen indifference

sliding down the throat

wide open dear let it go down

it will melt it will melt

deep breath

dear

thin blue lips

give up

give up

give up

one red growl

low and slow

wait

warm

Counterpoint:

Indifference is an illusion. Our consciousness is making distinctions every waking moment whether we admit this or not. Our senses discriminate every nuance. Our ‘gut’ knows this. Just ask your body.                                    -Rob Sterling ©2013
